Horizons du Fantastique
No.9: tantrism to eroticism
Horizons du Fantastique (which translates to ‘Fantastic Horizons’) is a now-defunct French magazine devoted to the world of cinema, published between 1967 to 1975. After its birth as a fanzine by Alain Schlockoff, Horizons du Fantastique became a printed journal from its second issue onward. The bluescale cover of issue no. 9, 1968 is emblazoned with the phrase ‘from tantrism to divine eroticism’, while black-and-white images from old school movies like Frankenstein (1931) are interspersed with interviews and features on cinema, art and literature, all written in French.
