Documenting works from Cindy Sherman, Keizo Kitajima, Peter Lindbergh, Kishin Shinoyama, Steven Meisel and more, Mémoire de la Mode explores the ethos and inspiration behind the influential Japanese fashion brand through materials including perfume ads, shop display announcements and holiday greeting cards selected from 1982 to 1997. The cover image is from Jim Britt’s joyous 1976 shoot with his teenage daughters Jody and Mimi, which was repurposed for the brand’s AW88 collection.
