Legendary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is also a prolific writer, having completed novels and poetry throughout her life. The Burning of St. Mark’s Church, written in 1985, is supposedly Kusama’s favourite book. This copy, with a moody black and white portrait of Kusama on the cover and pages with blackened edges, comes with an original obi featuring praise from the acclaimed Japanese novelist Kenji Nakagami.
