Tokyo Lucky Hole is a document of Nobuyoshi Akari's exploration of the Shinjuku sex trade during the 1980's, ranging from pole dancing clubs to more alternative sexual acts carried out in hotel rooms. Although a small book in format it contains a massive photo collection, the layout of the images is often four per page to create a sequence of the live acts being performed and establishes a narrative. All photographs are presented in black and white, while any genitalia has been masked out with black shapes.
