The Japanese VHS tape of John Waters’ 1972 black comedy Pink Flamingos, starring Divine as a criminal defending her title as “the filthiest person alive”, alongside David Lochray, Mary Vivian Pierce, Mink Stole and Cookie Mueller. The film is the first in Waters’ cult Trash Trilogy, a trio of the American director’s early, groundbreaking films characterised by their outrageous content, featuring a common cast.
