This book gathers together some of Juergen Teller’s iconic photographs from the nineties – a decade whose image he helped shape with his gritty, glamorous photos of off-duty supermodels and pop culture icons. Spanning a period where Teller’s analogue images appeared in magazines like The Face, i-D, Vogue and Interview, backstage pictures of supermodels at nineties Helmut Lang shows are interspersed with photos of then-couple Chloë Sevigny and Harmony Korine, Björk and her son at the Blue Lagoon hot spring in Iceland, an on and off-duty Kate Moss, and grunge icons Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain. "I never see myself as a pure fashion photographer. It’s more that it just happens that I enjoy taking pictures of a girl in … and out .... of clothes," said Teller in an interview with Neville Wakefield and his then-partner Venetia Scott, featured at the beginning of the book.
