Chloë and Harmony ‘94 offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of two of the most iconic figures of the 1990s. Captured in New York City just before their roles in Larry Clark’s seminal film Kids thrust the couple towards their generation-defining renown, these black-and-white portraits showcase Chloë Sevigny and Harmony Korine in their raw, unfiltered youth. Kevin Hatt, known for his studio portraiture and as the publisher of the photography journal Kit and Caboodle, met a 22-year-old Chloë Sevigny in Washington Square Park. At the time, she was working as a sales clerk at cult fashion store Liquid Sky and their chance encounter led to a portrait session in his Spring Street studio. Korine, Sevigny's then-boyfriend and screenwriter of Kids, joined the session, resulting in a series of honest photographs capturing the spirit of the era, published in its entirety for the first time in this zine.
