Exhibition card for the 1990 group show Stained Sheets / Holy Shroud curated by David Humphrey at Krygier/ Landau Contemporary Art in Santa Monica. Exhibiting artists included Mike Kelley, Kiki Smith, Nancy Davidson, Jonathan Borofsky, Curtis Mitchell and Jeffrey Vallance. The show’s artworks explored subtle traces left by the body, with Kelley presenting his 1986 artwork Glorious Wound composed of two sheets with inner edges stained red and hung to create a large, vaginal form.
