Tokyo Candy Box
1st Edition, 2001

An early publication from Japanese photographer Onaka Kōji, Tokyo Candy Box documents the colourful charm of the city during a time of radical transformation at the turn of the 21st century. Presenting colour-saturated snapshots of the urban landscape including billboards, neon lights, public transportation, buildings, vehicles, natural and manmade scenery, this love letter to Tokyo’s ever-changing environment captures the rhythm of Japan’s capital. The book has since been reissued on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, but this is the original, scarce 1st edition.
